I FINALLY got to craft again! And as it is "back to school" time of the year, I made a little notebook and filmed the process... so yes, another video for my youtube channel :-)

I guess the pillox box w/Labels is the most useful die from Sizzix :D I used it a LOT before christmas as it's perfect for small gifts such as jewellery and lots of other little suff. I had (and still have) lots of patterned papers left, so I've decided to use it up and create quite a few of these boxes (even more than I needed to have them in stock when I need one :)

Here are few of my recent scrapbooking projects where I used Big Shot. I'm loving this tool more and more :)

My first page is based on Citrus Twist Kits' Sunday sketch. YAY for hexagons! I just love this shape! I'm sharing my page and a brief tutorial on CTK's blog - have a look and come join us for the sketch challenge this week! :)

I am a huge fan of Ashli Oliver. I've been watching some of her videos lately and in one of them she pulls out a bunch of shapes cut with Big Shot from Sizzix - she actually cuts a LOT of them (in white) and keeps them for later. What a smart idea! Thank you Ashli, I had to do the same and try my new dies that arrived last month - plus I've embossed quite a few of paper scraps. I LOVE to use them for layering behind my photos. All in white, of course :)

DIY:: packaging with Big Shot

Today I'm sharing an easy and short tutorial about how to make little gift boxes, using Big Shot and the dies. Or rather - an idea about how to decorate them - as cutting them with Big Shot is super easy :)

I played with my Big Shot - AGAIN - and this time I've decided to give a try to the embossing folders! To be honest, it was a challenge and I was thinking quite a lot about how to use them - and I LOVE how it eventually turned out! Love the layers ready to be put in action (the 2nd picture) and the final effect :) (Here is the link to chevron and triangle embossing folder)

(Znovu som vytiahla Big Shot a tentokrát som si povedala, že skúsim použiť embossingové šablóny. Bola to výzva, lebo najprv som naozaj nevedela, čo s nimi :D Ale keď ich už mám, tak prečo ich neskúsiť - a zároveň aj niečo nové?  Nakoniec som ich použila ako vrstvenie pod fotografiu - a našla som si tak ďalší obľúbený spôsob, ako - resp. čím vrstviť pod fotku :) ) Tu je link na šablóny.

hexagons with Big Shot

This hexagon layout is currently my favourite. I love the photo (Pepsi sniffing my easter branches on the dining table), the patterned papers in lovely pastel colors from My Mind's Eye that were part of Papero Amo's May kit, and i LOVE the hexagons! I've used  Big Shot and Sizzix' Framelits Die Set and fell in love with these shapes!

I'm definitelly going to use them more often - and also create more "shape based backgrounds" (my huge inspiration here was Paige Evans, who creates the most beautiful quilt inspired layouts :) )

So, I've cut the shapes with the hexagon framelits. You can find them here. I've used white cardstock and also some MME patterned papers. The shapes are in various sizes but not too different in order not to create huge gaps on the layout:

I can't wait to show you a new layout I made for Papero Amo, using the hexagon framelits from Sizzix - I fell in love with them and they are currently my favourites!!! Here´s the sneak :)

Here are some new pages I've recently made. Yes, I've been procrastinating a bit (not working on my design stuff...) but enjoying some new goodies or just scrapbooking for fun :)

First, I've created these two pages, using Papero Amo's april kit, containing some Basic Grey papers. The first one is about our mini road trip.
