I've just realized I didn't post about my latest video, so here it is - all christmassy and wintery :) Enjoy!

december love

The older I get the more I love Christmas. That might sound weird as it's usually kids who count sleeps until Christmas... but I do. And everything Christmas related, including winter - and that's something! (fyi: I hate being cold!)

I love december, the time of advent, preparation for christmas, baking, decorating, making and sending christmas cards... And despite lots of work I have right now I'm trying to enjoy this time.

It's Sunday today (as I'm writting this post) and I spent the day at my parent's house. I took a nap in the afternoon while some christmas music was on and when I woke up, it was already dark, the little christmas lights were on, christmas music still playing... and I loved it! These are those little moments that count. ♥

I'm planning on making a vlog (although I keep feeling a bit narcistic about it...haha), I mean my first reeeeeal vlog for my youtube channel, all about getting ready for christmas and enjoying the lovely month of december... I already have some videos and photos and it's looking great so far, so I couldn't resist and I'm going to share my pre-christmas excitement with you :-)

Btw, my INSTAGRAM looks quite christmassy already... ;-)

christmas crafting // video

Christmas crafting. It's my absolute FAVORITE!!! There's something so magical about it... white cardstock everywhere, glittery snowflakes, christmas carols, Pepsi playing (and steeling) jingle bells that end up all over the place (how lovely...), bakers twine, the candlelight, and ... call my crazy, but the smell of hot glue gun reminds me of christmas crafting, too! I. LOVE. IT. ALL. I had to made a video, of course! And I reaaally hope you'll like it :-)

Milujem Vianoce - a obdobie pred ním - a ešte presnejšie vianočné tvorenie! Úplne najviac mi tú atmosféru vie navodiť "vôňa" lepidla z tavnej pištole :-D Myslím, že prvú tavnú pištol som si kúpila okolo Vianoc, asi preto :-) Okrem tejto divnej úchylky samozrejme aj vianočné koledy, svetlo sviečky, bakers twine, trblietavé vločky, rolničky... rolničky po celom byte (vďaka Pepsi...) ... no je to proste TEN čas v roku... ♥

Aj tento rok tu mám videjko z mojej dielne :-) Enjooooy! :-*

my christmas // winter wonderland

I spent christmas with my family - as I do every year. There was nothing different or special - I mean the same traditions and everything - and yet - everything about it so special! Being together, traditional supper, christmas tree with colorful lights, midnight mass - because yes, it's all about baby Jesus! It's simply the most wonderful time of the year :)

My christmas decoration: white and silver, cones, candles, snowflakes... and a little deer ^_^

what I've been up to

Hello - and happy november!
I have quite a few projects that I've completed recently but didn't share on my blog - yet! So here they are!

1. first of all, you might have noticed already - a new blog design! It's not finished yet - there's SO much work to do, but I really like my new homepage :)

2. I've spent ONE - WHOLE - DAY christmas crafting - I've created about 11 christmas cards that are on sale now in my SAShE shop. Here are some of them. Lots of white, as usual ;)

These are the last pages of my December Daily for 2013.

It was fun to document every single day that was leading to christmas and definitely a great experience! It made me think of the highlights of each day and christmas preparations became more intense.

I finally got to choose and edit some photos from Rome. It was such a sunny and warm week that it was reaaaally hard to get back to wintery/christmassy mood afterwards!

Here's page 4 - about my room mate in Rome, Maximus :D I stayed at my friend's house and this is her cat. Oh, it's one gorgeous cat!

It was such an amazing time and I'm so thankful to still have these great friends there and be able to go visit whenever I want to! :)

Týždeň v Ríme preletel ako voda, no po návrate mi všetko pripadalo, ako by som tam bola aspoň mesiac :D Po takomto slnečnom a teplom týždni bolo naozaj ťažké znovu sa preorientovať do zimnej a vianočnej nálady (vlastne ten proces ešte stále trvá... ). Tu je teda zopár fotiek a na začiatku deň 4 z December Daily: Maximus, môj spolubývajúci počas pobytu v Ríme :)

december daily 2013:: pages 1-3

Hello and happy december again!

As promised, here is the blog post where I'd like to share first three pages from my December Daily that I've prepared in advance (as while you read this, I'm having fun in Rome :D )

1st page:: is about december in general. Man, it truly is such a cool month of the year! Lots of stuff is gonna happen, so I've decided to dedicate the first page to a little planning :)

2nd page:: now this is really hard. Here's the little story. I blogged about the kitty we found on Sept 2 on the street. We literally saved her life, she stayed with me and I took care of her, while looking for a new home for her. Eventually - just before leaving for Italy, a friend of mine proposed to keep her for some time (and maybe she'll fall in love with her just like I did and keep her ;) ) and on this day - Dec 2 - I brought her to her new home. I'm not gonna lie - I teared up while creating this page :') 'cause this little creature got my heart in these 3 months! She's a pretty little lady now and I wish her best luck and much love in her new home! I will miss you Pepsi!

3rd page:: ok, enough of getting emotional! :) Today - on Dec 3 I'm flying to Rome! I call this city "Rome, my second home" ;) It's been more than one year since I've seen the eternal city for the last time! I'm so excited! Tickets are ready, let's go!

Ako som sľúbila, tu je prvý príspevok s prvými stránkami December Daily:

1.stránka:: je o tom, čo ma čaká počas tohto skvelého mesiaca :) Musím sa priznať, že zima nie je práve jedno z mojich obľúbených ročných období... no december je čarovný mesiac. A tento rok je nabitý aktivitami a zážitkami! Na jeho počesť som sa tak rozhodla venovať prvú stránku takej menšej rekapitulácii :)

2.stránka:: je o zachránenom mačiatku Pepsi. V tento deň totiž Pepsi odišla do nového domova. O jej príbehu som písala v tomto článku na SAShE. Pepsi u mňa bola presne 3 mesiace. Za ten čas si získala moje srdce a mne bude za ňou veľmi smutno! Ďakujem Kristínke, že sa jej ujme, kým sa jej nenájde trvalý domov. 

3.stránka:: check-in spravený, môžem letieť do Ríma, môjho druhého domova! :)

december daily 2013

Hi all!

This year I've decided to participate in december daily for the first time! Christmas is such a beautiful and magical time of the year - so, if you put christmas and scrapbooking together  -  that will make december daily! :)

I've made the cover and the base pages quite some time ago and now I finally got some pictures of it - so here is my first post about it :)

As my budget didn't really allow me to order the Studio Calico kit, I thought - why not using my own designs?! Yes, I've designed some christmas patterned papers that can be found (and purchased) in my etsy store and they look like that:

And I have just realized that I have blogged about them already ... hehe :)

Here they are:

For now I have just the cover and the pages that hold together with a clip - as I'm sure I will do some sewing on the pages later on. So I keep them separated for now and when finished, I'll glue the two respective pages together and sew on the borders as well.

I don't have the numbers ready neither. I've just cut the circles and will add numbers as I go according to the colors I'll use on each page, so that they will match.

Well, that's pretty much for now! I leave for Rome on December 3, but will set a blog post to share my first pages with you ;) xxx

December Daily - u nás na Slovensku v scrapbookovom svete ešte asi veľká neznáma, no dnes by som sa s vami chcela podeliť o pár fotiek a nápadov - a vlastne aj napísať o tom, čo to vlastne je :)

December Daily si prvýkrát začala robiť Ali Edwards v roku 2008. Ide o dokumentovanie 25 dní do Vianoc vo vianočnom albume. Ten si buď kúpite alebo vytvoríte - a najlepšie pripravíte všetko dopredu tak, aby - ako hovorí Ali - boli stránky pripravené už na vkladanie fotografií a ozdobovanie a aby tak dokumentovanie 25 dní do Vianoc bola zábava a nie stres :) Pripraviť si teda treba obal, základné stránky a čísla od 1 - 25 pre každú stránku. Na toto tvorenie ponúka Studio Calico vianočný kit, ktorý je skvelý a poštovné neplatíte, no 100 dolárov bolo pre mňa i tak veľa, a tak som sa rozhodla pre môj prvý December Daily použiť moje vlastné dizajny. Digitálny balíček nájdete v mojom etsy obchodíku - ja som si vzory vytlačila na výkresy a skombinovala s ďalšími čistými výkresmi tak, aby som si pripravila 25 obojstranných stránok. Zatiaľ držia pohromade len spinkami, pretože na nich plánujem šiť, alebo použiť svorky - a tak aby to nebolo vidieť na zadnej strane som si radšej stránky zopla týmto spôsobom. Keď už budú ozdobené, zlepím ich a okraje ešte prešijem. Obálka je jednoduchá, elegantná, obsahuje len nápis a bakers twine s rolničkou. Čísla na stránky tiež nemám pripravené - vystrihla som si biele kruhy s priemerom cca 3,5 cm, na ktoré doplním čísla podľa farebnosti danej stránky - aby spolu ladili.

To je môj december daily na tento rok, pripravený na fotografie, zážitky, zimné a vianočné spomienky :) 3.decembra odchádzam do Talianska, no určite nastavím nejaký príspevok dopredu, aby som sa s vami podelila o prvé stránky.

Advent je tu čo nevidieť, už aj námrazu máme v noci :D  ... a tak tu mám dnes pre vás najnovšie video s vianočnou tematikou.  Zopár nápadov na vianočné pohľadnice, kde stačí málo pre vytvorenie jednoduchej, no elegantnej pohľadnice. Zoznam použitého materiálu nájdete v popise videa - a vo videu si zahrala aj mačička Pepsi :D

It's a pack that contains 12 designs on 12x12 scrapbooking papers, that can be used digitally or printed.

I'm actually that kind of person who's looking forward to Christmas since August or so, hehe, so I put some christmas carols on and started designing :) And here's the pack, ready to be used for your beautiful creations! I've also decided to try December Daily this year for the first time and I'm going to use these designs for my book - either as a background paper or for layering. I've already printed them out and I reaaally like the pastel feel of the colors!

Balíček obsahuje 12 rôznych dizajnov s vianočnými motívmi vo formáte 12x12 inchov, čiže cca 30,5x30,5cm. Môžu sa použiť na digitálny scrapbooking alebo vytlačiť - čo som spravila aj ja a papiere vyzerajú krásne pastelovo! Rozhodla som sa ich totiž použiť na projekt s názvom December Daily, čo je vlastne dokumentovanie dní od 1.decembra až po vianočný deň... ale o tom až neskôr v inom článku ;)

getting ready for christmas

Everyone's getting ready for Christmas and so am I and my family. I love when everything outside is white and quiet and frosty and cold while you and your dear ones stay indoors, baking christmas cookies, listening to christmas carols and you can feel love everywhere. I just love this time of the year! This is a must-share picture: christmas decorations, christmas baking (with my sweet mama) and christmas crafting, of course! ♥

Aj v dnešnú nedeľu sa na Creative Scrappers môžete zapojiť do súťaže vytvorením stránky. A aj v dnešnú nedeľu vytvorili dievčatá z kreatívneho tímu krásne práce! Stále sa teším, že som jedna z nich :)  A keďže je už december, rozhodla som sa vytvoriť stránku s vianočným motívom - toto som ja keď som mala šesť :D

Christmas book

Hello friends!

Today I've got to share with you the Christmas book I've finished recently. I'm looking forward to Christmas since August this year! No wonder I've my Christmas book ready in the middle of November :D 

So, I did lots of sewing and I used mainly red and black but also silver, light blue and pink. On white pages of course! ;) It is all about preparing and organizing and looking forward to Christmas - shopping, baking and whish list pages, advent calendar, countdown, agenda, one scrapbook page and some storing place. YAY let it snow now! :D

Keďže tohto roku sa na Vianoce teším už asi od augusta, nečudo, že v polovici Novembra som dokončila moju Vianočnú knihu :D Vďaka toľkému zanieteniu mi jej výroba ani netrvala dlho. 

Pri výrobe som použila ako stránky biele výkresy a zdobenie najmä v čiernej a červenej farbe, ale pridala som aj svetlomodrú, striebornú a ružovú. A tiež som veľa šila - to je už asi moja závislosť, nedokážem vytvoriť nič, čo by neobsahovalo aspoň zopár stehov :) 

Kniha obsahuje napríklad nákupný zoznam, odpočítavanie do Vianoc, adventný kalendár, odkladacie miesto a iné. Viac si o nej môžete prečítať v mojom žurnáli na SAShE.
