cat lover layout

Hey all! It's no secret I'm a cat lover! And that's what my new page for Papero Amo is about. First I've created a sketch (as I was creating the whole sketch challenge for this month) and then a page accordingly. 

AAAND I've received a new package from SIZZIX UK full of new awesome embossing folders, dies and framelits - and even the matching clear stamps! So I had to try it straight away! (the "today" stamp and thinlit and also the speech bubble for the journaling) :)

V najnovšej sketch challenge na blogu Papero Amo nájdete sketch v "mriežkovanom dizajne", ktorý je práve teraz jeden z mojich najobľúbenejších :) Spojený s ďalšou "obľúbenosťou" - mačkami  - vznikol layout CAT LOVER ^_^ Hneď som naň použila novinky z balíčka od Sizzix UK - pečiatku a vyrezávaciu šablónu "today" a tiež ďalšiu vyrezávaciu šablónu v tvare speech bubble na journaling.

Papero Amo Challenge

Pre najnovšiu challenge Papero Amo som vymyslela takéto zadanie: na layout použite maxi fotografiu! Je to trend, ktorý myslím ešte stále v scrapbooku letí, tak skúste aj vy! Navyše sa môžete do súťaže zapojiť a vyhrať :) Viac info v článku PA.

Krásne jemné (nielen) pastelové farby v kite Papero Amo na máj - úžas! Stále mi zostalo zopár fotiek na scrapovanie - jedna zo dňa matiek (hmmm fun time) a jedna ešte z Veľkej Noci. A jedna svadobná pohľadnica na želanie :)

Here are some new pages I've recently made. Yes, I've been procrastinating a bit (not working on my design stuff...) but enjoying some new goodies or just scrapbooking for fun :)

First, I've created these two pages, using Papero Amo's april kit, containing some Basic Grey papers. The first one is about our mini road trip.

december daily 2013:: pages 1-3

Hello and happy december again!

As promised, here is the blog post where I'd like to share first three pages from my December Daily that I've prepared in advance (as while you read this, I'm having fun in Rome :D )

1st page:: is about december in general. Man, it truly is such a cool month of the year! Lots of stuff is gonna happen, so I've decided to dedicate the first page to a little planning :)

2nd page:: now this is really hard. Here's the little story. I blogged about the kitty we found on Sept 2 on the street. We literally saved her life, she stayed with me and I took care of her, while looking for a new home for her. Eventually - just before leaving for Italy, a friend of mine proposed to keep her for some time (and maybe she'll fall in love with her just like I did and keep her ;) ) and on this day - Dec 2 - I brought her to her new home. I'm not gonna lie - I teared up while creating this page :') 'cause this little creature got my heart in these 3 months! She's a pretty little lady now and I wish her best luck and much love in her new home! I will miss you Pepsi!

3rd page:: ok, enough of getting emotional! :) Today - on Dec 3 I'm flying to Rome! I call this city "Rome, my second home" ;) It's been more than one year since I've seen the eternal city for the last time! I'm so excited! Tickets are ready, let's go!

Ako som sľúbila, tu je prvý príspevok s prvými stránkami December Daily:

1.stránka:: je o tom, čo ma čaká počas tohto skvelého mesiaca :) Musím sa priznať, že zima nie je práve jedno z mojich obľúbených ročných období... no december je čarovný mesiac. A tento rok je nabitý aktivitami a zážitkami! Na jeho počesť som sa tak rozhodla venovať prvú stránku takej menšej rekapitulácii :)

2.stránka:: je o zachránenom mačiatku Pepsi. V tento deň totiž Pepsi odišla do nového domova. O jej príbehu som písala v tomto článku na SAShE. Pepsi u mňa bola presne 3 mesiace. Za ten čas si získala moje srdce a mne bude za ňou veľmi smutno! Ďakujem Kristínke, že sa jej ujme, kým sa jej nenájde trvalý domov. 

3.stránka:: check-in spravený, môžem letieť do Ríma, môjho druhého domova! :)

lps' november sketch challenge

This  time, the sketch challenge over at Life.Paper.Scrabpook is a little special. We are using a sketch from our sponsor SCRAPBOOK GENERATION, that has a lovely story behind. It's actually a family business, run by two sets of sisters: Debbie Sanders and Karin Rush, and Debbie's daughters Stacey Atchley and Allison Davis. They sell and distribute sketches and sketch books for scrapbooking and cardmaking and also produce kit clubs.

Last week, on Monday, my mum came round for lunch. We had spaghetti, then we talked, and only THEN my mum was like: "Oh, when I was crossing the street, I've seen a kitty in a parking! She was hiding behind the cars and she looked like she was just about few weeks old...". My first reaction was: "You're telling me this only now? She could be anywhere by now!" Because - yes, I knew immediately I wanted to save that poor little creation :)

I called my little brother - he's eleven and LOVES animals. I knew he would help me find her (and help me feel less dumb while doing those strange noises when trying to attract the cat's attention ;) ) Well, she wasn't there anymore. More than 1 hour passed since my mum saw her. We checked every car in that parking and also the nearby area with trees and bushes (not easy to find a tiny starving cat in there at all). After more than half an hour of looking for her I suggested to pray St. Francis (as he is known for his love for animals♥ ). Believe me or not, not even a minute passed and the kitten was there! Scared little baby! She was so skinny! We started to feed her so she became a little more confident.

I brought her home. And this is how she looked like... Poor starving baby!

I'm now taking care of her. And it feels so good! She's getting better day by day, gaining weight and becomes more and more playful :) She LOVES milk and cuddles and morning sunshine and she LOVES to sleep on my knees while I'm working on a computer. She's adorable and her eyes are so thankful. ♥

Oh, and I've decided to call her "Pepsi" :D
